Still affordable and easy to find, 1973-87 Chevy and GMC pickups are gaining ground in the truck popularity contest. We love ‘em for the stock cluster arrangement; a big speedo and tach front and center with the satellites to the side. We added a TFT-display in each large opening for the utmost in customization; view any parameters you like while the integrated buttons make calibration a cake-walk. Stick this in your 1973-91 Blazer, Suburban or heavy duty pickup too! Available with your choice of black or silver alloy gauge-face styling, each HDX system allows the user to select independent illumination colors for the gauge readings and needles, as well as the message centers. Calibration and personal settings are manipulated with the built-in, capacitive-touch buttons, or the available Bluetooth app for Apple and Android devices. Each needle hub is black nickel plated spun-aluminum to match the buttons. All HDX instrument systems
Paying tribute to all three gauge designs available over the years (1973-75, 1976-78, 1979-87 Pickups and '73-91 Blazer, Jimmy and Suburban), the RTX series maintains the beloved Chevy and GMC square-body look while bringing in late-model elements. A bolt-in affair with your stock or aftermarket front bezel (not supplied), the twin TFT message centers give the look of a vintage tumbler odometer, but can be expanded with auxiliary readings to keep you informed. Retains stock gear-indicator and the factory turn signal locations are now LED-lit. The RTX series is the latest from Dakota Digital, focused on retaining that stock look without sacrificing the late-model features you love. Every effort has been put forth to incorporate OEM design elements regarding the layout, face styling and indicators. A casual glance may dismiss these as original equipment, but once you hit the switch and the LED backlighting comes on in your favorite color
The ‘square body’ GM pickups are spreading like wildfire, and VHX-73C-PU is the perfect finishing touch for many of these builds. These kits are a snap to install with your original or reproduction dash bezel (not included) and provide up-to-date information with world-class technology while retaining subtle touches such as stock-location turn signals (now LED-lit) and provisions to retain the stock gear position indicator. 1973-87 pickups and SUVs through 1991. Fully lit needles, backlit faces, and two highly visible LCD message centers are a few of the things that you can see which set the VHX Series apart from yesterday’s traditional approach to instrumentation. A few of the features which you don’t normally see are the micro-controlled precision stepper motors, solid state sensors for unparalleled accuracy, and user-customizable display feedback, all supported by an unrivaled limited lifetime warranty which has become the standard for Dakota Digital instrumentation systems . The CAM-1000 is a surface mount camera which allows a flexible mounting angle in many locations at the rear of the vehicle. This tiny camera measures .830” in both length and width and 1.100” deep. The pivoting mounting bracket has a footprint of 1.400” x .790”. Double-sided tape is attached to the bracket for mounting, or utilize the included screws for a permanent installation. The CAM-1000 can be added to the CAM-BKT-1.
CAM-BKT-1 is a license plate bracket (US standard 7” bolt hole centers) which simplifies the installation of the CAM-1000. Remove the two top license plate screws and slip this bracket underneath for a quick and easy mounting location! Black powdercoated finish offers a discreet look.
CAM-2000 is a flush mount camera, designed to really disguise the installation. This requires a .740” cutout (and includes a perfect-fit holesaw) and has a .900” overall bezel diameter. The CAM-2000 is a tidy 1” deep and even includes a surface mounting housing and bracket, if you opt to not place this camera through the surface. *Only for use with Dakota Digital GRFX Series The Dakota Digital CAM-1000 and CAM-2000 allow you to add reverse backup video to your GRFX System, with a simple plug-in connection! Both the CAM-1000 and CAM-2000 offer an expansive 170 degree horizontal view, giving you great visibility behind the vehicle while backing up. Wired connection from the camera will be routed to the GRFX instrument system, plugging directly into the rear side of the display panel. 29' of cable length will stretch through the longest of vehicles with ease.
The CRC-1000 obtains its information from the included diagnostic connector and throttle pedal connections, allowing an extremely simple installation for drive-by-wire GM CAN bus applications. The CRC-1000 is ideal for applications using all matched OEM drivetrain control components.
The CRC-2000 variation features a discrete VSS input (fixed 4,000 PPM, your application may require the use of an SGI-100BT if a 4,000 PPM signal is not present), usable when a diagnostic connector is unavailable. While still plugging directly into the throttle pedal in these LS-based systems, the CRC-2000 provides a flexible approach, perfectly suited to cases with a mixture of LS-based OEM and specific aftermarket powertrain control components.
A direct bolt-in to the '73-87 Chevy Truck, the GRFX-73C-PU offers the boldest interior upgrade that can be made. Bringing integration ability with any drivetrain, modern features and technology, along with the ability to customize to your heart's content, there is no comparison! The Grafix Series allows the user to customize nearly every aspect of the instrument system. A variety of graphic themes can be selected, each element within can be further personalized with unique display colors and warning modes. Furthermore, each gauge location can be configured with an Analog, Digital, or Bar-graph style of readout. Each display can show readings singly, grouped in pairs for twice the visible data, or completely reconfigured to show a different readout entirely!
